Measure

A. Installation on the door frame:

1. Measure the width of the door opening (W) Make sure the door frame is at least 38 mm wide.
2. Measure the height of the door opening (H) Make sure the door frame is at least 38 mm high at the top and bottom.
3. The red lines show the areas where the insect screen door will be installed.
4. Enter the measurements in the product calculator. The finished product will measure + 38mm on each side.

B. Installation inside the doorway:

1. Measure the width (W) of the door opening at the top (W1) and bottom (W2). Check that both dimensions are equal, W1=W2. If the measurements differ, the smallest should be used. In this case, the deviation must be compensated with a sealing element when the insect screen door is installed.
2. Measure the door opening height (H).
3. Enter the dimensions W (W1=W2) and H in the product calculator.
The dimensions of the finished product will be the same as the dimensions you have measured.

Install

Swing insect screen door installation

Lift the door out of the frame.

Place the insect screen on the outside of the door frame, with the green sticker at the top. Mark the places where the holes for the screws are to be drilled.

Drill holes in the marked places for the screws with a 2.5 mm drill bit.

Screw the screen to the door frame with the included PZ2 3.5 mm screws.

Place the insect screen door on the insect screen frame so that the two green stickers match each other.

Hang the door back into the hinges

Mesh types

Standarta - pamata aizsardzība pret kukaiņiem

Standard - basic insect protection

Economy PVC mesh provides highly effective protection against insects thanks to a mesh hole size of 1.48 x 1.58 mm with 60% transparency and good air circulation at the same time. This fabric has been tried and tested a million times over for years and is widely used in all insect screen types.
– Tear-resistant and weather-resistant fabric made from plastic-coated fiberglass.
– Practically no fraying due to thermofixed infrared welding of the crossing points.
– A good view thanks to the neutral grey coloring.

Transpatec - gandrīz neredzams siets

Transpatec - almost invisible screen

Provides brilliant 80% transparency and an almost unhindered passage of light – it is almost invisible from both sides. The individual mesh openings are smaller than in a conventional fiberglass fabric and the protection against insects is therefore even better – The size of the mesh hole is only 1.26 x 1.34 mm.
– Robust, weather-resistant, tear-resistant and PVC-free.
– Thanks to the innovative anti-dirt coating, fewer flying dust and fiber particles stick to the fabric.

Polltec - aizsardzība pret ziedputekšņiem

Polltec - protection against pollen

This mesh type is designed for allergy sufferers – in contrast to other conventional mesh types, Polltec has an elongated mesh that is significantly larger on the narrow side than a pollen – this allows more air and light to pass through the fabric. Nevertheless, the pollen gets stuck on the fabric. The special coating is responsible for this, which virtually attracts the pollen and holds it there.
This mesh also does not allow very small mosquitoes to pass through, since its hole size is only 0,45 x 1,36 mm.
– Protection against grass and birch pollen- over 99%, against small ragweed and stinging nettle pollen – over 90%.
– Greatly improved air permeability – up to three times better compared to conventional pollen protection fabrics.
– ECARF (European Center for Allergy Research Foundation) awarded.

Mājdzīvnieku siets - izturīgāks un draudzīgāks jūsu mājdzīvniekam

Pet screen - more durable and friendly for your pet

Mesh type which is made of extra durable material is much stronger than standard fiberglass mesh and protects the net from pet scratches. With 40% transparency this mesh is more visible and safe for pets. Not only will the pet screen material prevent a pet from escaping, the mesh will also protect your home from outside intruders: insects, birds, rodent, and reptiles.

Maintenance

Best places for installation

The insect screen door is intended for swing doors. The best fit and practical use is to mount this screen on doors leading to the terrace, balcony or garden. Insect screen doors are designed for frequent use where you regularly go in and out of the house. If you have a pet, you can consider a pet screen on the lower part of the insect screen door, which is made of extra durable material so that the pet can better see the screen and it can better resist scratching. But even a pet screen cannot withstand high pressures from large pets and can come off.

Cleaning

Over time, insect screens collect dust and dirt. The best thing you can do is regularly vacuum the insect screen. To clean the insect screen from other dirt, it is best to use a garden hose or similar. Remove the insect screen if possible. Place the insect screen in the bathtub or shower. If you have space outside, place it on the lawn or a hard surface, taking care not to expose it to dirt. If you rinse the insect screen regularly to prevent dirt from getting stuck in the net, you won’t have to remove stuck dirt later. If dirt is still stuck, use a sponge or a soft brush to scrub the insect screen. Use soapy water if necessary. Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Removal

It is easy to remove the door, for example, if you need to remove it for cleaning – remove the metal pins from the door hinges, lift the door out of the frame and you can start cleaning.
